About Ross

Let me introduce myself to you.

Hi, I’m Ross!

I left a previous career in 2017 to go back to school for my Master’s in Counseling because what I had been doing the previous 23 years was no longer fulfilling and did not fuel me. What I was passionate about was volunteering in my daughter’s school and with our youth groups at church. I loved working with kids. I even volunteered as an asst coach on my daughter’s 7th and 8th grade swimming teams while in school and had an absolute blast coaching and hanging out with the kids. I find I am able to make an impact every day in my new career and I love being an advocate for my clients with their parents. I offer/include extensive parent coaching because I believe, you the parent, can have more of a positive impact on your child then I ever can if you are taught why your child is behaving how they are and how you can help them. A healthy, emotionally connected parent-child relationship is key to your child overcoming what they are currently struggling with. My daughter is now in high school, and I wish I would have known what now I know years ago. I’ve been there too. I’ve struggled to deal with meltdowns, had my own meltdowns with my daughter, and minimized what she was dealing with because I didn’t understand. If I can learn to parent more effectively anyone can. In addition to my Counseling degree, I completed an intensive play therapy course as well as a certification through the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute in Colorado. If a child can play, I can work with them and your family.

  • 1Aggressive Behaviors (hitting or kicking at school, explosive meltdowns at home or elsewhere, constant fighting with siblings, etc)
  • 2Regressive Behaviors (bed wetting, baby talk, sleeping in bed with parents, etc)
  • 3Withdrawal Behaviors (few friends, struggle to engage with others including peers, low or no energy, withdrawl to their room when they are home, struggling at school, etc)
  • 4Attention Seeking Behaviors (Talking out at school or home, struggle with impulse control, constantly needing physical attention, etc)
